BATHURST RALLY UPDATES
ENTRY TO SITE:
Members are asked to follow the below routing for entry to the staging area, and also into the rally site for those entering on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th April:
There are plenty of the usual activities planned for the Rally such as seminars, trade stalls, Men’s and Ladies’ Sheds, Craft Barn, Photography Competition, walking group and tours.
We would like to hear from members that are interested in a bike riding group and visits to the Bathurst Aquatic Centre. Please email email@example.com if this sounds like something you’d like to participate in – if we have enough interest these activities will be organised.
A highlight of every Rally is the themed Ball, to be held on Friday 29 April 2016. The theme for Bathurst is ‘Black & White Checkered’ – get in early and start planning your costumes! You can book a table for the rally ball from Wednesday 27 April at the Administration Office at the rally site.
Bathurst is Australia’s oldest inland European settlement and is located approximately 200kms west of Sydney. Bathurst town is filled with history and is home to the iconic Mount Panorama race track – where our rally is being held.
April is a perfect time of year to visit, with the autumn leaves are a spectacular sight to see. Temperatures during the day average around the low 20°C – perfect. No need to bring all the winter woollies – but a few would be advisable.
There are plenty of things to do in Bathurst – wineries, history tours, museums and the Ben Chifley Dam. Hill End is the perfect place for some gold digging and only an hour away are the amazing Jenolan Caves.
There will be plenty of trade stands at the rally, selling and exhibiting a range of products from food, health related products, RV accessories and right up to recreational vehicles. Please click here for a list of these traders, in two sections; indoor and outdoor. (Please note this list is subject to change).
We will be operating Member Benefits tours for your enjoyment (small participation fee applies). Our tours will include the Bee Keepers Inn where you will see a demonstration on honey making and beer brewing, and the Lithgow small arms factory. The Motor Racing Museum is also right next to the rally site.
Bathurst Visitor Information Centre will also be on site at the rally to take bookings for a range of sight-seeing tours that will be offered during rally week.

Completed entry forms with photographs must be submitted to the KEA Information Office by 12pm Wednesday, 27 April 2016. Late entries will not be accepted.
All entries will be displayed and winning photographs will be tagged for Open Day. Presentation of prizes to winners will be made Sunday, 1st May 2016 prior to the evening entertainment or at another time to be advised.

PORTABLE BUTANE GAS COOKERS
As there are now many approved and updated models of portable butane gas cookers available, we will be allowing the use of these approved models at CMCA events. An approved model would have been manufactured after 1 July 2015, and should carry an AGA Mark (Australian Gas Association) with a current 4 digit licence number, as well as meeting the standards of AS 2658-2008. Any portable butane gas cooker that was purchased prior to 1 July 2015 is unsafe and not permitted for use at CMCA events. Approved AGA certified products as of November 2015 are listed on pages 117 to 120 of the Directory of AGA Certified Products.
